Is comfort an enemy of style?
It could be but doesn't have to. A sharp suit could be more comfortable than a pair of jeans. It all has to do with the cut, quality, and fit.
Please describe your style in three words.
Tailored, effortless, with a subversive bite.
What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?
Trying too hard to impress everyone else.
Do you believe in role models?
Everyone needs something / someone to bring clarity to one's life. Not everyone can muster the energy needed from within. So, I guess I do.
What are your favourite fabrics?
Wool, definitely! I've been also working with some technical fabrics from Japan, and I'm always amazed by what they can achieve with recycled polyester. And actually also reducing carbon emission in the process!
Are there any style combinations that you object to?
All rules are to be broken. Incessantly!
Which city has the best-dressed men?
MOST best-dressed men would be in London. It's a more vibrant kind of style. Even though the older cats in Italy know a trick or two!
Would you say that you are conservative or bold?
Conservative with slight subversive tendencies.
What are the rules in the way you dress?
My style has evolved slowly over the years (as any style should). At the moment my only rule is strictly white shirts.

Well-composed, irrespective of style.

I am self-taught. I must say though that my dad was always well turned out.
How do you select your clothing every morning?
It's a feeling. Starts from the inside. Just like style.
What is your biggest regret?
I don't do regrets.

Never say never.

His composure.
The one image that defined your approach to style...
No one image, however the combination of Steve McQueen and Sidney Poitier would have been that image!

The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is...
All of his wardrobe.
What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?
The first titanium cufflink I designed. It's about ten years old. I wear them every day. I've done a rerun of them recently; however the first run, it's my fave! Memories.
